Shreyanka Patil's Comeback: India's T20I & ODI Squads for Australia Tour 2024 (2026)

After a period sidelined by injuries, Shreyanka Patil is back! The Indian T20I squad for the upcoming tour of Australia is set, and the return of a fully fit Shreyanka Patil is a major highlight. But, this comeback story is just the beginning.

Shreyanka, who last represented India in the 2024 T20 World Cup, faced a challenging period in 2025 due to injuries. She missed the last WPL season, but she made a strong comeback in the ongoing season for RCB, taking a five-wicket haul just 24 hours before the squad announcement.

India has also welcomed back middle-order batter Bharti Fulmali, who last played T20Is in March 2019. Fulmali's performance in the WPL last year was remarkable, scoring 133 runs in six matches with an impressive strike rate of 172.72. She has maintained this form, scoring 36 off 19 against MI and 39 off 20 against RCB in the current season. The only player excluded from India's previous T20I assignment against Sri Lanka is Harleen Deol.

Here's the India's T20I squad: Harmanpreet Kaur (C), Smriti Mandhana (VC), Shafali Verma, Renuka Thakur, Sree Charani, Vaishnavi Sharma, Kranti Gaud, Sneh Rana, Deepti Sharma, Richa Ghosh (WK), G Kamalini (WK), Arundhati Reddy, Amanjot Kaur, Jemimah Rodrigues, Bharti Fulmali, Shreyanka Patil.

Moving on to the ODIs, Shafali Verma has been included in the squad, following her excellent performance in place of the injured opener Pratika Rawal during their championship-winning run. Rawal is still recovering from a knee injury sustained during the showpiece event. Wicketkeeper-batter Yastika Bhatia continues her rehabilitation after knee surgery last September.

The impressive G Kamalini has earned a spot in the squad and can also act as a wicket-keeper. Radha Yadav and Arunadhati Reddy, the only members of India's World Cup-winning squad who did not play a single game in the tournament, have been left out. Kashvee Gautam has been added to the team.
