Norfolk and Suffolk brace for more wintry weather as snow and ice warnings persist
The Met Office has issued further warnings for snow and ice across parts of the East of England, with Norfolk and northeast Suffolk set to experience hazardous travel conditions and disruptions.
A yellow weather warning for ice is in effect for most of Norfolk and northeast Suffolk on Sunday, from 00:00 to 12:00 GMT, following similar warnings over the past few days. This comes after both counties were hit by snow earlier in the week.
On Monday, another warning for snow and ice is in place between 00:00 and 23:59, with the Met Office warning of potential ice formation where snow had partially thawed and refrozen on Sunday.
Scattered snow showers are expected to move inland from the North Sea on Monday, and the Met Office also warns of lightning and gusty winds as additional hazards.
The risk of ice is expected to persist into Monday night, with people advised to expect hazardous travel conditions and disruptions due to the weather over the next few days.
