Auburn transfer WR Eric Singleton signs with Florida
Auburn transfer wide receiver Eric Singleton Jr. has signed with Florida, according to On3's Pete Nakos. Singleton began his college career at Georgia Tech, but transferred to Auburn after one season. He had a successful year at Auburn, catching 58 passes for 534 yards and three touchdowns, ranking second on the team in receiving behind Cam Coleman.
Prior to Auburn, Singleton had a strong two-year run at Georgia Tech. As a sophomore in 2024, he caught 56 passes for 754 yards and three touchdowns, establishing himself as a top target for quarterback Haynes King.
Now, Singleton is the No. 36 overall player in the On3 Industry Transfer Portal Rankings and the No. 7-ranked wide receiver to hit the open market. His addition to Florida's wide receiver room is a significant boost for new head coach Jon Sumrall, who is looking to improve the team's performance after a 4-8 record last season.
Singleton also has a connection with new Florida quarterback Aaron Philo, as they both played for Georgia Tech. Additionally, Singleton and the new offensive coordinator, Buster Faulkner, are familiar with the system, having worked together at Georgia Tech.
With Singleton's arrival, Florida aims to strengthen its wide receiver group and improve its overall performance in the 2026 season.
