Bold pop of color turns Aubrey Plaza’s all-black ensemble into a standout moment. And this is the part most people miss: a single accessory can completely transform an outfit.
Aubrey Plaza isn’t slow to surprise. After a weekend of New York Fashion Week appearances, she capped the run with a celebratory dinner at Balthazar. The venue marked the start of a month-long collaboration with Ami Paris, adding an extra layer of excitement to the evening.
For the look, Plaza chose a black sweater dress featuring white top-stitched lines along the neckline, waist, and hem. She styled it with black tights and two-tone knee-high boots that combine light-gray suede with black leather, split neatly down the center for a sharp contrast.
To add warmth and depth, she layered a dark-gray wool coat in an oversized silhouette, complete with drop shoulders and extra-long sleeves. The coat’s length nearly touched the floor, only kept in check by the height of Plaza’s heels.
The color contrast wasn’t limited to neutrals. A fern-green Mulberry bag served as the focal point, brightening the entire look. The Small Boston bag, crafted from supple heavy-grain leather, features a relaxed shape and adjustable top handles. Brass hardware provides a touch of shine, while the foil-embossed logo adds a subtle luxe detail.
Earlier that weekend, Plaza sat front row at several major Fall 2026 shows, including 7 For All Mankind, Ulla Johnson, and Khaite, leaving a clear imprint on the season’s style moment.
